The Gilleston is a beautiful piece was sourced from a paddock on the outskirts of Balhannah a town in the Adelaide Hills about 30 km southeast of Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. It was established in 1839 as a farming community by James Turnbull Thomson, who built the first hotel. The town grew to incorporate two once adjoining towns one of which was called Gilleston (named after Osmond Gilles).
We estimate she was about 70 years old.
We were lucky enough to source all 4 quarters of the Gilleston and they are available to purchase as 4 canvases.
Pricing starts from $250
